A comic can take years to build—and so can the relationship with its readers. With uncertainty around Tapas, finding another place to publish is only part of the challenge. Staying connected with the people who follow your work matters just as much.
We’re building Panel so that connection can last beyond any platform.
At the heart of this is a direct relationship between creators and readers. We’re building Panel to help you stay connected with the people who follow your work, so you can share new chapters, updates, and wherever your story goes next—even beyond Panel.
Your comics should be able to move with you, too. You’ll retain ownership of your work, with exports starting from static images. Preserving animation and interactivity outside Panel is a further challenge we’re working through. No platform can promise to last forever; keeping your work and reader connections portable is part of how we’re designing ours.
Panel will let you bring in a comic, series, or entire catalog and adapt it for desktop, tablet, and mobile. Your stories can stay static, or include animation, sound, and interactivity. Video exports for social media will help you introduce them to new readers, while direct support options will give those readers ways to contribute to your work.
AI assistance will be optional, helping with the practical work around publishing and promotion. We won’t use your comics to train AI models.
